NRC Presentation The Director, Division of Resident, Reactor Projects and Engineering Inspection and members of his staff discussed the results of the Regional Performance Evaluation for Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station Units 1, 2, 3 covering the period of June 1, 1980 through June 30, 1981.
The Regional Evaluation was perfor med in conjunction with the second cycle of the Systematic Assessment of Licensee Performance (SALP Cycle II).

A description of changes in the NRC's Systematic Assessment of Licensee Performance Program.

A summary of the current Performance Evaluation including:
enforcement history; reportable events; inspection findings; status of Licensee actions resulting from previous SALP appraisals; and the NRR performance evaluation.
In general, Licensee performance was noted to have improved over previous appr aisal periods.
c.
Identification'of areas where Licensee performance may be further improved:
storage and maintenance of components; and quality of vendor supplied materials and equipment.

Licensee representatives acknowledged the results of the evaluation and indicated that appropriate attention would be addressed towards improving performance in the noted areas.
