Facilit Tour The inspector observed work acti vities in progress, compl eted work and plant status in several areas of the plant during a general inspection of units I and 2.

The inspector examined work items for obvious defects or

'oncompliance with NRC requirements or licensee cormitments.

Particular note was taken regarding the presence of quality control inspectors and indications of quality control activities through visual evidence such as inspection records, material identifications, nonconformance and accept-ance tags.

In addition, the inspector interviewed craft and supervisory personnel encountered in the work areas.

No items of noncompliance were identified.

Closed Unresolved Item 50-387 80-06-05 and 50-388/80-04-05 Pertaining to the use of the Franklin Institute Test Report No.

FC-4033-3 for qualification of Class If electrical cable splices in a LOCA environment.

The inspector reviewed vendor documentation certifying minimum fabrication requirements used in preparing test specimens for the qualification test.

This item is resolved.

Closed Unresolved Item 50-388/80-04-04 Pertaining to the electrical conduit installation in which the accu-mulated bend radius exceeds the 4-90 degree bends allowed between cable pull points.

The inspector reviewed the engineering analysis and justification for use

"as is".
