Thank you for your letter dated May 20, 1986, informing us of the steps you have taken to. correct the items which we brought to your attention in our letter dated April 25, 1986. Your corrective actions will be. verified during a future inspection.

Your request that this violation be withdrawn has been considered and is denied. -The observed housekeeping conditions were unsatisfactory and were not in compliance with the letter or the. intent of your approved housekeeping program. While we recognize the maintenance activities in progress at the time, the conditions observed over a period of more than a week involved, waste survey and removal not keeping up with generation. This and other

recent observations indicate a need for additional managemet attention to plant housekeeping standards'.
