Areas Inspected:
Routine, unannounced inspection of the licensee's physical security program. The areas inspected within the physical security program included management support, security program plan, and audits; protected and vital area physical barriers, and detection and assessment aids; protected and vital area access control of personnel, packages, and vehicles; alarm stations and communications; power supply; testing, maintenance, and compensatory measures; and security training and qualifications.

Results: Within the areas inspected, no violations or deviations were identified. The inspection focused primarily on the security program upgrade and personnel development and training programs. The security program is undergoing a major upgrade effort. Old barriers and detection systems are being replaced with.1ew, improved systems. Maintenance procedures for the new system have noi. been established, but the licensee plans to develop the necessary procedures. A concern was identified regarding the firearm proficiency of the security officers.
This concern is d!scussed in paragraph 3.g In general, the licensee is making good progress toward improving their overall security program.
