Subject:

Arkansas Nuclear One- Unit 1 Docket No. 50-313 License No. DPR-51 Inservice Inspection (ISI) Summary Report Gentlemen:

Pursuant to the requirements of 10CFR50.55a, ISI summary reports for ASME Class 1 and 2 pressure retaining components and their supports for Arkansas Nuclear One - Unit 1 (ANO-1) are provided for your review. The results presented by this letter are representative of the third inspection period of the second ten year inspection interval.

This submittal is provided in accordance with ASME Section XI IWA-6230 and Code Case N-532. Attachment 1 provides ASME form OAR-1, Owner's ActivityReport.

Attachment 2 consists of an abstract ofexaminations and te:;ts, conditions requiring evaluation, and actions necessary for continued service. Please note that the abstract of actions for continued service (Attachraent 2, Table 3) includes the corrective measures performed during the third inspection period.

With the adoption of Code Case N-532, a review of the period percentages was conducted which revealed that the percentage distribution requirements for Table IWB-2412-1, Inspection Program B, had been inadvertently altered. A relief request should have been submitted per 10CFR50.55a(g)(5)(iv) within one year of the end of the interval (June 1,1998). A condition report documenting this self-identified condition was issued l and corrective actions to correct the discrepancy is in progress. A relief request documenting this discrepancy will be submitted by January 15,1999.
