Information on North Anna and Earthquakes The staff was asked to identify which nuclear power plants had experienced earthquakes exceeding the OBE/SSE. The staff identified two (besides North Anna):* VC Summer -Experienced an earthquake in 1979 exceeding its OBE. This was prior to the plant being licensed.* Perry -Experienced an earthquake in 1986 exceeding its OBE and SSE. This was prior to the plant being licensed.I'm passing this on for information.
