CONTAINMENT SYSTEMSICECONDENSER DOORSLIMITINGCONDITION FOROPERATION 3.6.5.3Theicecondenser inletdoors,intermediate deckdoors,andtopdeckdoorsshallbeclosedandOPERABLE.

APPLICABILITY:

MODES1,2,3and4.ACTION:Withoneormoreicecondenser doorsopenorotherwise inoperable, POWEROPERATION maycontinueforupto14daysprovidedtheicebedtemperature ismonitored atleastonceper4hoursandthemaximumicebedtemperature ismaintained

<27F;otherwise, restorethedoorstotheirclosedpositions orOPERABLEstatus(asapplicable) within48hoursorbeinatleastHOTSTANDBYwithinthenext6hoursandinCOLDSHUTDOWNwithinthefollowing 30hours.SURVEILLANCE REUIREMENTS 4.6.5.3.1 InletDoors-Icecondenser inletdoorsshallbe:a.Continuously monitored anddetermined closedbytheinletdoorpositionmonitoring system,andb.Demonstrated OPERABLEduringshutdownatleastonceper9monthsby:1.Verifying thatthetorquerequiredtoinitially openeachdooris<675inchpounds.2.Verifying thatopeningofeachdoorisnotimpairedbyice,frostordebris.3.Testingasampleofatleast50%ofthedoorsandverifying thatthetorquerequiredtoopeneachdoorislessthan195inch-pounds whenthedooris40degreesopen.Thistorqueisdefinedasthe"dooropeningtorque"andisequaltothenominaldoortorqueplusafrictional torquecomponent.

Thedoorsselectedfordetermination ofthe"dooropeningtorque"shallbeselectedtoensurethatalldoorsaretestedatleastonceduringtwotestintervals.
