438, 3/4LIMITINGCONDITIONS FOROPERATION ANDSURVEILLANCE REQUIREMENTS 3/4.6CONTAINMENT SYSTEMSCONTAINMENT VENTILATION SYSTEMLIMITINGCONDITION FOROPERATION 3.6.1.7Thecontainment purgesupplyandexhaustsystemshallbeclosedexceptwhenoperation ofthecontainment purgesystemisrequiredforpressurecontrol,ALARA,andrespirable airqualityconsiderations forpersonnel entry,andforsurveillance testingandmaintenance activities.

Nomorethanonepurgesupplypathandonepurgeexhaustpathshallbeopenatatime.APPLICABILITY:

MODES1,2,3,and4.ACTION:Withonecontainment purgesupplyand/oroneexhaustisolation valveinoperable, isolatetheaffectedpenetration byuseofatleastoneautomatic valvesecuredintheclosedposition, and,within72hours,either:1)Restoretheinoperable valvetoOPERABLEstatus,or,2)Deactivate theautomatic valvesecuredintheclosedposition.

Operation maythencontinueuntilperformance ofthenextrequiredvalvetestprovidedthattheautomatic valvesecuredintheclosedpositionisverifiedtobedeactivated intheclosedpositionatleastonceper31days.Otherwise, beinatleastHOTSTANDBYwithinthenext6hoursandinCOLDSHUTDOWNwithinthefollowing 30hours.Theprovisions ofSpecification 3.0.4arenotapplicable.
