, DOCKET NUMBER 50-483 CALLAWAY PLANT UNIT I k UNION ELECTRIC CO.

FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NPF-30 PHYSICALEECURITY PLAN, REVISION 29 Pursuant to the requirements of 10 CFR 50.54(p), the Union Electric Company furnishes four copies of Revision 29 of the Callaway Plant Physical Security Plan.

Distribution of these documents is outlined on the attachment.

Revision 29, increases the minimum of armed response personnel to those levels demonstrated during the August 1998 OSRE, and in accordance with wording agreed to in ULNRC letter 3984. This revision also incorporates the changes required due to the new '

security computer system becoming operational. This revision also rescinds Revision 28A, which was a temporary addendum to the Security Plan, which covered security operations during the computer change over period. Lastly, this revision reflects a change in the Training and Qualification Plan in which required tasks and elements were consolidated into like categories. This reduced the overall size of the T&Q Plan while retaining all the task and element material and requirements.

Changes incorporated into this revision are consistent with 10CFR50.54 (p) and do not decrease the effectiveness of the security plan.

If you have any questions regarding these documents, please contact M. R. Faulkner at (573) 676-8833.

Very truly yours, y
