STORAGE OF CHEMICAL WASTE IN REACTOR-BUILDING The-staff has reviewed your-proposed plan, submitted by letter dated June 2,-

1987,'to store chemical wastes on a transient basis in two new rooms that would be constructed in the reactor bay of the University of Kansas Research Reactor.

Because all fuel has been removed from your facility, the staff has no-objections to your plan as reviewed and approved by your Nuclear Reactor Committee. Any facility constructed must meet all applicable regulations for chemical storage areas.
