On Saturday July 15, 1978, at approximately 12:13 p.m. , a Security Officer received a call on an in-plant phone, next to the airlock in the Unit #1 Reactor Building, an unidentified male caller stated that "a bomb is in the building."
Emergency bomb threat procedures were implemented and a search was instituted, the site was not evacuated. The FBI and LLEA were notified.
Media interest is expected because of media interest in Nuclear Energy.
The State of Connecticut has been informed. A press release is not ,/
planned by the licensee nor NRC.
