. ACTIONS IN RESPONSE TO HURRICA.NE GLORIA As of 10:00 a.m. today, Gloria was located about 50 miles east of Cape May, New Jersey and moving in a northerly direction at a speed of 30 miles per hour. Reactor facili-ties located along the coast have been implementing procedures in accordance with their emergency ' pl an s . A consolidated status report for potentially affected Region I

' facilities has been provided to the HQ IRC and is being periodically updated.

The 0yster Creek facility has reduced power levels (to 35%) commensurate with their plan and the hurricane is expected to move past the plant within the next two hours (i.e. by noon). The Indian Point and Shoreham units are shutdown. Millstone Units 1 and 2, and Haddam Neck are shutting down. Unusual event declarations have been made at

-these and several other plants further inland. Emergency response facilities have been

. staffed.

Region I has been tracking the progress of the hurricane and the status of the plants
