OF MEETING WITH TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY -

MEETING OF MAY 20,1998 (TAC NOS. M99711 AND M99712)

On May 20,1998, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff met with representatives of the Tennessee Valley Authority (WA), the licensee for Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant (BFN), Units 1,2 and 3. The meeting attendees included L. Raghavan, and Subinoy Mazumdar (NRC staff) and Tim Abney, David Langley, Bill Crouch (TVA) and Rodney Briggs and Hoa Hoang (General Electric, consultants for TVA).

The discussions were technical in nature regarding BFN license amendment request for power uprate, and primarily focused on instrumentation issues. The meeting did not result in any regulatory action.
