Dear Dr. Michaels,

This is to advise you that Dr. Lee Bettenhausen has resigned his position as Supervisor of the UML nuclear reactor as of December 20,1997. Dr. David C, Medich has been appointed Acting Reactor Supervisor, as of January 1,1998; he will remain in this position until a permanent supervisor is appointed.

The UML Chancellor has authorized a search for a Supervisor. The position has been posted locally and has been advertised in local papers.

Advertisements in technical magazines will follow. At this writing, about ten applications have been received. A copy of the announcement is attached.
