Dear Dr. Kegel:
On October 10,1996, the NRC completed an inspection of the radiation protection
program at the Lowell University Research Reactor. The enclosed report represents the
results of that inspection.

No noncompliances or significant issues were identified. No response to this letter is
required.
.Your efforts to fill the full-time health physics technician position, discussed in a
June 3,1996 letter to the NRC, were found to be good.
