Dear Mr Michaels,
SUBJECI':
111G11 ENRICIIED TO LOW ENRICHED UR AN1UM FUEL CONVERSION SCIIEDULE At the present time, the University of Lowell expects to have its Safety Analysis report for the conversion to low enriched fuel submitted to the USNRC by July,1991. The physics analysis is near completion, however, the thermal hydraulics and accident analysis has been delayed due to the student doing the work being called into the marines.
After the submittal of the analysis, we feel that we could actually convert the core within three months of receiving the low enriched fuel and we would be able to -ship the high enriched fuel within six months, depending on availability of the shipping casks.
If you need any further information, please let me know.
Sincerely, l
k s
