Dear Mr. Noonan:

Your letter to J. H. Goldberg dated December 18, 1985, transmitted '

comments on the South Texas Project Electric Generating Station Physical Security Plan and Guard Training and Qualification Plan. We have developed responses to all of the comments, and we are scheduled to discuss them with the reviewer in a meeting on January 30, 1986. We also need to make several other changes to these plans due to changes in the security system-design, and we plan to discuss these changes with the reviewe? in this meeting.

Based on discussions with the reviewer last week, we understand that he would prefer to review both sets of revisions simultaneously.

Therefore, we are not submitting responses to the reviewer's- comments in _

accordance with the schedule requested in your letter. We plan to submit "

the next revisions to these plans by March 15, 1986. ,
