Plans for the James A. Fitzpatrick Nuclear Power Plant Attached is a copy of the Post Exercise Assessment (PEA) for the December 15, 1987, full carticipation joint exercise of the offsite REP plans for the James A. Fitzpatrick Nuclear Power Plant (JAFNPP), the State of New York and Oswego County. We PEA, dated June 3,1988, was prepared by Ibgion II of the Federal Dnergency fbnagement kjency (FDM) and transmitted to FD% Headquarters on June 22, 1988.

he New York State Dnergency 'trn'agement Office has been requested to provide FEt% Pegion II wit a statement of actions taken, or a schedule of corrective actions to taken, to correct the exercise inadequacies identified as areas requiring corrective action.

Based on the results of the exercise, FEl% considers that offsite radiological emergency preparedness is adequate to provide reasonable assurance that appropriate measures can be taken offsite to protect the health and safety of the public living in the vicinity of the site in the event of a radiological emergency. Therefore, the approval under FDM Rule 44 CFR 350 will remain in effect.
