PLANT OPERATIONS On August 16, 1985, at 2300 hours0.0266 days <br />0.639 hours <br />0.0038 weeks <br />8.7515e-4 months <br />, the plant started a load reduction to 65 percent power to conduct a routine turbine control valve test. At 0120 hours0.00139 days <br />0.0333 hours <br />1.984127e-4 weeks <br />4.566e-5 months <br />, on August 17, 1985, the test was complete and the unit continued a decrease in power to 55 percent. After cleaning the "B" and "D" condenser waterboxes, the plant started increasing load at 2241 hours0.0259 days <br />0.623 hours <br />0.00371 weeks <br />8.527005e-4 months <br /> on August 17, 1985. The increase was stopped at 0140 hours0.00162 days <br />0.0389 hours <br />2.314815e-4 weeks <br />5.327e-5 months <br /> on August 18, 1985, and due to excessive leakage on the "A" main feed pump, a load decrease was started at 0215 hours0.00249 days <br />0.0597 hours <br />3.554894e-4 weeks <br />8.18075e-5 months <br />. At 1500 hours0.0174 days <br />0.417 hours <br />0.00248 weeks <br />5.7075e-4 months <br />, the plant came off line to replace the "A" main feed pump inboard seal.

The unit operated at full power for the remainder of August.
