! by 10CFR73.55(c)(7) and (8). We have reviewed the changes embodied in issue 4, Revision 4 and

determined that they do not reduce the effectiveness of the Plan or the overall Nuclear Security Program

, for Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station.

i With the implementation of this revision of the Physical Security Plan, those portions of the Safeguards 4

Contingency Plan incorporated in response to Generic Letter 89-07, " Power Reactor Safeguards )

Contingency Planning for Surface Vehicle Bombs" are considered superseded. We will be removing those i

2 portions from the Safeguards Contingency Plan in a revision planned for the near future.
