Minnesota 55401-1927 Telephone (612) 330-5500 August 27,1993 Prairie Island Technical Specification TS6.7A 5&6 U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Document Control Desk Washington, D.C. 20555 Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant Docket No. 50-282 License No. DPR-42 Docket No. 50-306 License No. DPR-60 Effluent and Waste Disposal Semiannual Report for January throut1h June 1993 In accordarice with the Prairie Island Technical Specifications, Appendix A to Operating License DPR-42 and DPR-60, we are submitting one copy of the Effluent and Waste Disposal Semiannual Report, covering the first half year of 1993.

The report is complete with the exception of the Sr-89, Sr-90 and Fe-55 composite values which are reported using default values in accordance with our Offsite Dose Calculations Manual. An amended report with the actual composite results will be forwarded with the next semi-annual report. Also, included with this report is a letter discussing the strontium 89 analysis results compared to Tech. Spec. LLD values.

Also, attached is the revised semi-annual report for the last semi-annual period of 1992. This revision includes the correct composite results for Sr-89, Sr-90 and Fe-55 using actual analysis results.

The Offsite Dose Calculation Manual (ODCM) and Process Control Program (PCP)

Manual are not attached since they remained unchanged during the reporting period.
