  • Discuss Entergys Plant Performance for CY 2006
  • Provide Entergy the opportunity to respond to the NRCs Annual Performance Assessment and to identify new or existing programs to continue to improve performance

NRC Performance Indicators and Inspection Findings

  • All performance indicators for Pilgrim for CY2006 were Green
  • All inspection findings for Pilgrim for CY2006 were all Green or SL-IV (very low safety significance) 14

NRC Inspection Findings

  • Green, manual reactor scram due in-part to inadequate evaluation for failed valve in augmented off-gas system
  • Green, inadequate safety evaluation for a procedure change to the LOOP/LOCA Tech. Spec. surveillance
  • Green, inadequate design control for potential condensate storage tank vortexing

NRC Annual Assessment Summary Pilgrim

  • Entergy operated the plant safely and in a manner that preserved public health and safety and protected the environment
  • Pilgrim remained in the Licensee Response column of the NRCs Action Matrix for all four quarters of 2006
  • All cornerstone objectives were fully met
  • NRC plans baseline inspections at Pilgrim for CY 2007 16
