Dear Sir or Madam:

In accordance with 10 CFR 72.44(d)(3) and Certificate of Compliance No. 72-1029, Amendments 0 and 1, Technical Specification Section 5.2.3(c), Southern California Edison (SCE) is providing the Annual Radioactive Effluent Release Report for the Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) at San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS).The period of the report is January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2013.The dry shielded canisters are double seal welded and designed to meet the criteria of Interim Staff Guidance-18 and thus prevent effluent releases.

In addition, we have completed in-process inspections and tests during the fabrication and sealing of the canisters in compliance with the amendments to the Certificate of Compliance stated above. On that basis, SCE is reporting there were no releases of principal radionuclides in liquid or gaseous effluents from the SONGS ISFSI to the environment in 2013.If you require additional information, please contact Mr. Mark Morgan at (949) 368-6745.cc: M.
