ENCLOSURE WNP-2 SAFETY EVALUATION OF TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION CHANGES

1. Section 3/4 8.1. (page 3/4 8-3)

AC Sources The note referred to in paragraphs 4.8.1.1.2.a,4 and 5 requires performance of a prelube function prior to DG testing. Conduct of the prelube function would then increase the number of emergency power supplies in an inoperable condition. The licensee proposed to change the note from "shall be preceded" to "may be preceded" in order to provide flexibility. The proposed change is in accordance with approved changes to standard technical specification recommended by DSI/PSB in its letter dated June 5,1984 to DL. Therefore, the proposed change is acceptable.

2. Section 3.8.3.2.b.1 (page 3/4 8-18)

Electrical Power Systems, Distribution-Shutdown The proposed changes provide clarification that distribution panel DP-SI-lF is the Division 1 125-VDC critical switch gear distribution panel and DP-Sl-10 is the Division 1 remote shutdown distribution panel.

The technical specification change is acceptable.
