On February 11, 1980, the New York State Board on Electric Generation Siting and the Environment issued its opinion and order in Case 80005 vacating the previously-granted certificate for Sterling. A copy of the opinion is enclosed.

In light of the views expressed in .the enclosed opinion, we have been instructed not ro participate in the consolidated hearings on certain radon issues scheduled to begin on February 26.
