Dear Mr. Grier:

This letter is submitted in response to the subject IE Bulletin for the SNUPPS Utilities, Kansas Gas and Electric Company, Union Electric Company and Rochester Gas and Electric Corporation.

Our investigation concerning the planned use of Westinghouse BFD/NBFD relays for the SNUPPS plants is not complete. To date, no such relays have been identified. We will inform the NRC concerning the final re-solution of Bulletin 79-25 for SNUPPS in about two weeks.
