Dear Mr. Grier:

This letter is forwarded on behalf of the SNUPPS Utilities as a generic response to the subject IE Bulletin revision. As requested by the NRC, the additional information and clarifications furnished in the subject bulletin revision have been examined by SNUPPS. As a result of this examination, it is concluded that the initial SNUPPS response provided via the reference letter satisfactorily resolves NRC concerns involving the use of concrete expansion anchor bolts for pipe support base plates on Seismic Category I structures. In regard to Items 5 and 6 of Revi-sion 2 to the subject bulletin, please note that the SNUPPS Project has not used and currently does not anticipate using expansion anchors in concrete block walls or structural steel members directly attached to the concrete by expansion anchors to support Seismic Category I piping.

Consequently, the initial SNUPPS response need not be modified or amended to address these items of concern.

Vergtruly yours,
