This letter is submitted in response to the subject IE Bulletin for the SNUPPS Utilities, Kansas Gas and Electric Company, Union Electric Com-pany, and Rochester Gas and Electric Corporatt.t Two safety-related uses of ITT General Controls Models AH-90 and NH-90 Series Hydramotor Actuators in the SNUPPS design have been identified.
These uses are packaged air conditioning units being supplied by the Bahnson Company and damper actuators being supplied by the American Wanning and Ventilation Company, Inc. (AWV).
As noted in the IE Bulletin, ITT is testing actuators supplied by AWV.
The results of this testing are r.ot available and the appropriate cor-rective action has not been identified. The actuators for AWV have not been shirped to the SNUPPS jobsites and will not be shipped until the corrective action, if needed, has been perfonned. The actuators for Bahnson are packaged ready for shipment to the SNUPPS jobsites. Correc-tive action, if needed, will be made either at the jobsite or in Bahnson's facilities.
