By letter dated July 19, 2019 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML19206A101), Westinghouse Electric Company (Westinghouse) submitted to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) an approval (-A) version of topical report (TR) WCAP-18032-P, Revision 0, and WCAP-18032-NP, Revision 0, Calculation of Mixed Core Safety Limit Minimum Critical Power Ratio. Westinghouse has done so in accordance with our request to publish an approval non-proprietary version of this TR, as detailed in the transmittal letter of the NRC staffs final safety evaluation (SE) (ADAMS Accession No. ML19094A184) for the WCAP-18032-P, Revision 0, and WCAP-18032-NP, Revision 0, Calculation of Mixed Core Safety Limit Minimum Critical Power Ratio.
The NRC staff has completed its review of the approval version of the TR. The NRC staff verified that Westinghouse has met the requirements and determined that the submitted -A versions are acceptable for referencing in licensing applications for nuclear power plants to the extent specified, and under the limitations delineated in the NRC staffs SE and accepted versions of the TR. WCAP-18032-P, Revision 0, and WCAP-18032-NP, Revision 0, Calculation of Mixed Core Safety Limit Minimum Critical Power Ratio, is now approved for use in future licensing actions.
