SUMMARY

OF THE SEPTEMBER 1, 2020, CLOSED MEETING WITH WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC COMPANY, LLC TO DISCUSS THE STAFFS DRAFT REQUESTS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THE ALTERNATE DISPOSAL APPROVAL OF SPECIFIED LOW ACTIVITY RADIOACTIVE MATERIALS (ENTERPRISE PROJECT IDENTIFIER L-2020-LLL-0009)

On September 1, 2020, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff met with representatives from Westinghouse Electric Company, LLC (Westinghouse) to discuss the staffs draft requests for additional information (RAIs). Following introductory statements by the NRC and Westinghouse, Westinghouse provided their understanding of all the draft RAIs. The NRC staff agreed with Westinghouses understanding of the draft RAIs. At the end of the meeting, the NRC staff indicated that the RAIs would be issued soon. Westinghouse indicated that they would provide their RAI responses quickly once the RAIs are issued. The meeting attendance list is enclosed.
