The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) will rely on the decisions made by the State of New Jersey under the authority of the Clean Water Act and, in the case of sea turtles and shortnose sturgeon, decisions made by the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) under the authority of the Endangered Species Act, for any requirements pertaining to aquatic monitoring.
