NRCGL87-09allows24hourstoperformamissedsurveillance test,iftheallowable outagetime(AOT)oftheLCOActionRequirements arelessthanthis24hourtimelimit,orwhenshutdownActionRequirements apply.Thistimelimitisbased'nbalancing therisksbetweencompleting therequiredtestingandpotentially challenging safetysystemswhileperforming shutdownactions.TS4.6.1.e.3.(a) isnormallyrequiredtobeperformed duringshutdownconditions, sinceperforming thissurveillance removesthenormalsourceofoffsitepower,whichmaycauseelectrical systemdisturbances.
