Enclosed is a copy of the final report for October 22-24, 1996, full-participation plume and ingestion exposure pathway exercise of the offsite radiological emergency response plans site-specific to the Salem Hope Creek Nuclear Generating Stations.

This report addresses the evaluation of the plans and preparedness for the Salem Hope Creek Nuclear Power Stations Emergency Planning Zone. The State of Delaware, the counties of Kent, Sussex and New Castle, and local organizations participated in this exercise.

The final exercise report was prepared by the Federal Emergency Management Agency Region III staff. There were no Deficiencies or Areas Requiring Corrective Action identified during the October 22-24, 1996 exercise.
The State of Delaware, the counties of Kent, Sussex and New Castle, and local organizations participated in this exercise.
Based on the results of the exercise, the offsite radiological response plans and preparedness for the State of Delaware and the affected local jurisdictions, site-specific to the Salem Hope Creek Nuclear Power Stations, can be implemented and are adequate to provide reasonable assurance that appropriate measures can be taken offsite to protect the health and safety of the public, in the event of a radiological emergency at the site.
