RECOMMENDATION FOR NOTIFICATION OF LICENSING BOARD, PROPOSED CONVERSION OF MIDLAND TO NATURAL GAS In response to your memorandum of April 14, 1986, same subject as above, we are enclosing a copy of a Consumers Power Company letter of April 21, 1986, which notifies the Licensing Board of Consumers Power intent to convert the Midland Nuclear Power Station to a combined-cycle gas fired plant.

We have coordinated the need to issue a Board Notification with the Office of the Executive Legal Director and, under the circumstances,i.e., the fact that Consumers Power is informing the Board, a Board Notification by the staff is not necessary.
