BOARD NOTIFICATION REGARDING AN INTERIM OFFICE OF INVESTIGATIONS (01) REPORT ON MIDLAND PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 (BOARD NOTIFICATION NO. 86-12 )

In accordance with the NRC procedures for Board Notifications, the following infomation is being provided. This information is applicable to the Midland Plant, Units 1 and 2. The Midland OM-OL Licensing Board and parties are being informed by copy of this memorandum.

Enclosed is an Interim Report of Investigation conducted by O! at the Midland Plant, Midland, Michigan. The referenced information is only being provided to the ASLAB for its in camera consideration consistent with the Commission's Statement of Policy; Investigations, Inspections and Adjudicatory Proceedings (49 FR 36032). O! has determined that any disclosure of this inforrration, however restricted, would defeat the purpose of. nondisclosure.

Of is prepared to provide to the Appeal Board an explanation of the basis of its concern about disclosure on an ex parte in camera basis.
