In accordance with the requirements of our Technical Specifications 6.9.3.b, attached is the semiannual report of radioactive effluent from Ginna Station for the period January through June 1978. These include the liquid and airborne effluent tables and a tabulation of "shipments of solid waste.
During this period 602.8 curies were released through plant vents, 0.049 curies of gamna activity and 174.026 curies of tritium through liquid releases and 581.6 curies as solid waste. All eleven shipments went to the Barnwell, South Carolina Burial ground operated by Chem-Nuclear Systems, Inc.
One additional copy of this letter and the attachment are enclosed.
