In Reference 1, the NRC issued the revised Regulatory Issue Summary (RIS) 2009-06 to emphasize to licensees the importance of (1) giving the NRC advance notice of their plans for license renewal, and (2) notifying the NRC of changes in previously announced plans for license renewal.

In Reference 2, Constellation Energy Generation, LLC (CEG) notified the NRC of the intent to submit additional Subsequent License Renewal Applications (SLRAs) for two Unnamed Constellation Plants as follows:

One application in the second quarter of 2026 (i.e., April to June 2026)

One application in the third quarter of 2026 (i.e., July to September 2026)

This letter is notifying the NRC of changes in the previously announced plans for license renewal. CEG intends to submit the aforementioned SLRAs according to the schedule below:

Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station, Unit 1 in the first quarter of 2026 (i.e., January to March 2026); and, R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant in the second quarter of 2026 (i.e., April to June 2026).

In Reference 3, CEG requested exemptions from 10 CFR 2.109(b), Effect of timely renewal application, to submit the SLRAs for the R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant and Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station, Unit 1, no later than three years prior to the expiration of each units operating license. The NRC approved the exemptions in References 4 and 5.

Further, in Reference 6, CEG submitted a License Renewal Application schedule to allow the NRC to plan more accurately and to budget agency resources accordingly. CEG is not prepared at this time to announce the specific plants for these SLRAs and, therefore, requests that the NRC identify them as Unnamed and show the applicant as CEG with the submission dates.

In summary, CEG intends to submit future SLRAs as follows:

SLRA Applicant Submission Date Nine Mile Point, Unit 1 CEG January to March 2026 R.E. Ginna CEG April to June 2026 Unnamed CEG January to March 2027 Unnamed CEG January to March 2030 Unnamed CEG April to June 2030 Unnamed CEG April to June 2034 Unnamed CEG July to September 2034

There are no r egulatory commitments contained in this letter.
