Enclosure 1, page 8, Section 5.3 references the precedents where NRC has previously approved the similar LAR. Once the subject LAR goes through NRC approval process, this methodology will also be considered acceptable for Fermi 2. Please let me know if you have any further comments or concerns. The amendment replaces the current requirements in TS to verify a Safety Relief Valve (SRV) opens manually with alternate requirement which verifies that a SRV is capable of being opened.
