OF PUBLIC MEETING On Thursday, April 19, 2012, at 5:30 p.m., the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) conducted a public open-house at the Waterford Town Hall in Waterford, CT. The NRC conducted the open-house to discuss its assessment of the safety performance at Millstone Power Station (Millstone) for 2011.
A notice of the open-house was issued on April 2, 2012, and was posted on the NRCs external (public) Web page. The meeting notice can be found in the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) with Accession No. ML12093A083. ADAMS is accessible from the NRC web page at: http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
The NRC presented poster boards and was available to discuss its assessment of the safety performance of Millstone for the period of January 1 through December 31, 2011, as documented in our letter dated March 5, 2012 (ADAMS Accession No. ML12061A240). The NRC poster boards included background on the Reactor Oversight Process (ROP). Additional information relative to the NRC's annual assessment process and the safety performance of Millstone can be found on the NRC's web site at:
