The purpose of this email is to provide the results of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) | the Virginia Electric and Power Company (Dominion, the licensee) submitted a relief request for the North Anna Power Station Unit 1 (NAPS 1). The proposed relief would accept the limited coverage examinations performed for certain welds during the second period of the fourth 10-year inservice inspection (ISI) interval for NAPS 1, in lieu of the full coverage examinations required by the applicable edition of the ASME Code. | ||

The acceptance review was performed to determine if there is sufficient technical information in scope and depth to allow the NRC staff to complete its detailed technical review. The acceptance review is also intended to identify whether the application has any readily apparent information insufficiencies in its characterization of the regulatory requirements or the licensing basis of the plant. | |||
