RENEWED FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NPF-30 PRESENTATION INFORMATION FOR PRE-SUBMITTAL MEETING REGARDING UPDATED SPENT FUEL CRITICALITY SAFETY ANALYSIS A meeting (phone conference) between Union Electric (Ameren Missouri), Holtec International and NRC personnel is being planned in order to discuss a license amendment request (LAR) expected to be submitted for the Callaway Plant (Callaway Energy Center) in August 2022. The requested amendment would support adoption of an updated spent fuel storage criticality safety analysis.

Specifically, the LAR would update the analysis methods based on current NRC guidance, simplify the storage requirements for fuel in the spent fuel pool, and support the storage of Framatome GAlA fuel assemblies at Callaway.

The presentation materials to be used for the meeting are in the form ofPowerPoint slides prepared by Ameren personnel. The purpose ofthis letter is to transmit the presentation slides to the NRC staff in advance of the meeting. The set of slides to be used for this public meeting is provided as Enclosure 1.

This letter does not contain new commitments.
