Documtnt Control D:sk Attachm:nt - REP Summny RR 6100-41 RC-98-0225 Page 1 of 4 Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station Radiation Emergency Plan, Revision 41 Summary of Changes

Description:

Page 27, section 4.1.2: Changed from saying that all facilities are activated at an Alert to all facilities may be activated at an Alert.

Reason for Change: To be consistent with facility activation requirements located elsewhere in this plan. l

Description:

)

Page 29, section 41.4: Deleted "(i.e., evacuation)"in the second sentence of the last  !

paragraph.

Reason for Change:

To clarify protective actions recommended in a General Emergency. This sentence deals '

with more extensive protective actions taken after initial protective actions are i recommended. Initial protective action recommendations are to evacuate affected sectors 1 therefore the deleted text is inappropriate and could cause confusion.

Description:

Page 37, Detection Method for Emergency Action Levels (EAL) 231 and 331: Changed the detection method for EAL 231 to "An automatic reactor trip fails when required, and, a manual reactor trip from either MCB handswitch is successful" and changed detection method for EAL 331 to " Entry into EOP-13.0 from EOP-1.0, Step 1". I Reason for Change: )

Revision 38 has nearly identical detection methods for Site Area Emergency and General ,

Emergency indicating any Site Area Emergency from an ATWS would also warrant a General Emergency classification.

I Description Page 42: Added the following note to each of the Security related EALs, "Sce EPP-001 Attachment 111 for additional guidance".

Reason for Change:

To remind the user of the location of additional guidance for actions to take in a Security event.
