Via Reference (I), the Nuclear Energy lnstitute (NEI) provided the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) with the industry's current status and recommended actions for closure to achieve compliance with the provisions of Generic Letter (GL) 2004-02, Potential lmpact of Debris Blockage on Emergency Recirculation During Design Basis Accidents at Pressurized Water Reactors (Reference 2).

In Reference (3), NextEra Energy Point Beach, LLC (NextEra) committed to develop a plan to achieve final resolution of Generic Safety Issue (GSI)-191, consistent with industry guidance, by June 30,2012. In order to align itself with the industry and the recommended actions contained in Reference (I), NextEra is modifying the commitment to provide the NRC with a GSI-191 resolution path and schedule by December 31, 2012.

Document Control Desk Page 2 Summaw of Reaulatorv Commitments The Regulatory Commitment contained in Reference (3) states:

NextEra shall develop a plan to achieve final resolution of GSI-I 91 for PBNP, Units 1 and 2, consistent with future industry guidance and the Reference (4) Staff Requirements Memo, by June 30, 2012.

NextEra is revising the Regulatory Commitment for Units Iand 2 to state:

NextEra will submit a GSI-191 resolution path and schedule for PBNP, Units 1 and 2, consistent with industry guidance, by December 31, 2012.
