60 Day Report for EN 56670, Waste Container Stacking Not Analyzed

Reference:

1. EN 56670, Waste Container Stacking Not Analyzed On August 9, 2023, Louisiana Energy Services LLC, dba Urenco USA (UUSA), made an event notification to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Operations Center in accordance with 10 CFR 70 Appendix A (b)(1). This notification, (Reference 1) was made due to apparent failure to properly analyze for stacked, criticality safety approved (CSA) containers when not in an engineered storage array. The analysis of a dropped CSA container onto an isolated container is actually bounded by NCS-CSA-022 and after the review, the report was not necessary.
