i TEB 2 61987 Mr. John E. Ward Deputy General Manager, Nuclear Sacramento Municipal Utility District
6201 S Street P.O. Box 15830 Sacramento, CA 95852-1830
Dear Mr. Ward:
This is in reply to your February 5,1987 letter expressing your concerns regarding the effect the pending NRC reorganization may have on the review of the Rancho Seco Restart Plan.
Let me assure you that we intend to take all steps necessary to ensure that-our reorganizational efforts do not adversely impact the restart schedule of Rancho Seco or any of our licensees.
While the reorganization will change our ways of doing business in some respects, we expect those changes to improve, not decrease, the efficiency of regulation.. Should you find this not to be the case, let me know of your concerns quickly.
Sincerely,
'M16T td) Jack W P.co ictor Stello, Jr.
