Annual Sumary of Safety Evaluations This report contains a sumary of safety evaluations on proposed changes, tests, and experiments performed pursuant to 10CFR 50.59(a) during 1986.

This report is being subnitted in accordance with the requirements of 10CFR

1. Proposed FSAR, Appendix 3A, Section 5.8.2.4, revision - Originated to allow the use of state-of-the-art digital multifrequency eddy current inspection of steam generator tubing. tb unreviewed safety or environmental questions are generated as a result of this FSAR revision.

2. Proposed FSAR, Section 4.2.4.2.C.2, revision - Originated to allow fuel rod weld enclosures to be nondestructively examined by a qualified method (e.g. x-ray, ultrasonics, etc.) in accordance with Westinghouse specifications. 3. Proposed FSAR, Sections 4.3.2.7.5, 4.3.2.3.1, 4.3.3.3, 4.3.4 and Table 4.1-2, revision - Originated to change the reload design methodology by modifying the nuclear physics W PALADON code in order to improve agreement between the nodal (PALADON) and fine mesh diffusion theory ('IORTISE) calculations.
