ENCLOSURE BEAVER VALLEY UNIT 2 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION REVIEW REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 1.

As stated in Chapter 16 of the Beaver Valley Unit 2 Safety Evaluation Report (NUREG-1057), the staff will use the then-current versibn' of the Beaver Valley Unit 1 Technical Specifications as the basis for.the Beaver Valley Unit 2 Technical Specifications.

For the draft Beaver Valley Unit 2 Technical Specifications submitted by Duquesne Light on December 20, 1985, please identify which of the following categories is applicable for j

each individual technical specification, The Beaver Valley Unit 2 technical specification and associated a.

basis is exactly like the Beaver Valley Unit 1 technical specifi-cation and basis, b.

The Beaver Valley Unit 2 technical specification and associated basis is exactly like the Beaver Valley Unit I technical speciff-cation and basis except for some minor difference (s) (e.g., a plant-specific setpoint or plant-specific valve number).

The Beaver Valley Unit 2 technical specifica:.fon contains significantly different wording and/or basis from the correspond-ing Beaver Valley Unit I technical specification in one or more subsections.

During its review of the Beaver Valley Unit 2 application, the staff l

identified certain issues that must be included in the Technical Specifi-cations as a condition of staff acceptance.

These issues are ide tified in various sections of the SER. Most of the issues that the staf' has identified as being required to be included in the Technical Specificaticns are already addressed in the Beaver Valley Unit 1 Technical Specificatiors.

Those issues that are not included in the Beaver Valley Unit 1 Technical Specifications will be added to the Technical Specifications being prepared for Beaver Valley Unit 2.

Please identify any statements in the SER which address additional criteria to be added to the Beaver Valley Unit 2 Tech-nical Specifications with which Duquesne Light does not agree so that these concerns can be resolved in a timely manner.
