Dear Brad:
This is in response to your letter of May 8,1978, asking this office to determine if a neeting had been attended in late 1972 by representa'tives of the AEC and/or the United States Geological Survey (USGS) at which the initial evidence of the Hosgri Fault was discussed.
The results o'f our inquiries are sumarized in the enclosed memorandum to me from the Acting Director, NRR. They were also discussed with you by !!essrs. Abston and Herr, of sty staff, and Mr. Long of the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation, on May 31, 1978. As was agreed at that neeting, we do not plan to make further inquiries regarding this matter either within NRC or at the USGS.
