Thank you for your letter of June 7,1978 and l

for the fine assistance rendered to us in this matter j

particularly by Mr. Long.

I do wish to point out that the statement attributed to Messrs. Hofman and Hamilton in the May 25, 1978 memo that Hoskins made "a slide pre-sentation in 1969" is incorrect.

I spoke with Hoskins myself, and he states firmly that there was no such presentation at any time prior to publication of the article in 1971.

He did confirm that Holly Wagner (but not Hanilton) received a pre-print.

You may wish to bring this point to the attention of Mr. Case, who authored the May 25 memo.
