u, DISCUSSION OF PROPOSED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION CHANGES North Anna 1 Technical Specification Table 4.3-2 requires surveillance in MODES 1, 2, 3 and 4 for the auxiliary feedwater pump actuation signals from Steam Generator Water Level-Low Low and Station Blackout. The proposed changes are to delete the requirement to perform surveillance of the above mentioned actuation signals in MODE 4.

The proposed changes are needed to provide consistency between Tables 3.3-3 and 4.3-2 in the North Anna 1 Technical Specifications. Table 3.3-3 requires operability in MODES 1, 2 and 3 for the auxiliary feedwater pump actuation signals from Steam Generator Water Level-Low Low and Station Blackout and Table 4.3-2 requires surveillance to be performed for the auxiliary feedwater pump actuation signals from Steam Generator Water Level-Low Low and Station Blackout in MODES 1, 2, 3 and 4. In addition, the North Anna 2 Technical Specifications require the surveillance of these actuation signals to be performed in MODES 1, 2 and 3. Also, NUREG-0452, Revision 3, Standardized Technical Specifications for Westinghouse Pressurized Water Reactors, Revision 3, has surveillance required in MODES 1, 2 and 3 for these actuation signals.

The proposed changes would therefore make the North Anna 1 Technical Specifica-tions conform to changes in approved standard Technical Specifications.

These proposed Technical Specification changes are administrative in nature and do not pose any danger to the safe operation of the plant and/or public health. These proposed changes do not pose a significant hazards considera-tion as stated in the Federal Register, dated April 6, 1983, Page 14870, Examples (i) and (vii); a purely administrative change to the Technical Specifications to change and achieve consistency and changes to the Technical Specifications to conform to changes in regulations, where the changes result in very minor changes to facility operations clearly in keeping with the regulations, i
